Any further deadlines for monetary services in South Africa shall be fixed by August 2025 and will also include restriction payments and other social payments, Old Age Pension, and Disability Grant. Confirmed August 2025 Payment Dates
The following are the dates announced by SASSA for grant disbursements:
- Old Age Grant Payment: Monday, 04 August 2025.
- Disability Grant Payment: Tuesday, 05 August 2025.
- Child Support, Foster, and Care Dependency Grants: Wednesday, 06 August 2025.
- R350 SRD Grant Payment: Payments will start processing from Thursday, 07 August 2025, running throughout the month in batches.
Beneficiaries should wait for an SMS confirmation before they go and collect their grants, especially SRD beneficiaries who might receive payments in batches owing to verification procedures.

Grant beneficiaries have numerous payment channels, including the following:
Some beneficiaries may choose the easier way of direct deposits to their bank accounts
- Pick n Pay, Boxer, Shoprite, Checkers, USave outlets
- Selected Post Office branches
- Cash Send to those without a bank account
- Keep your banking and contact information updated, lest you face unnecessary delays.
Eligibility & Reminders
In continuing to receive payments, all beneficiaries shall have to:
- Ensure that the SASSA system has correct personal and banking information
- Meet monthly eligibility criteria, particularly for SRD R350 grant which is income verified
- Respond to any SASSA verification or appeal request within the set time limit
- Updated processes followed improperly may delay payments or temporarily suspend grants for an ineligible time period.
